Pactix contract forms: Give your lawyer a great head start
Your lawyer can save you time and legal fees in getting to signature by using Pactix® contract forms, either by —
• Using one of the beta versions of Pactix's highly-configurable PDF forms; or
• Attaching one of the starter forms below to a draft letter agreement (or other contract draft), incorporating it by reference, and describing any desired modifications in the draft; or
• Editing the starter form directly by purchasing a copy of (1) the editable Microsoft Word® version, and, optionally, (2) the Pactix Pretty Good Contract Clauses compendium, designed to be "plug and play" with the starter form's clauses.
(Your lawyer should like using Pactix starter forms too: Now she can spend more of her valuable time advising you, instead of on routine wordsmithing and reinventing the wheel.)

Advantages of Pactix® starter forms
More white space for easier reading and editing: Pactix starter forms take up more physical pages than you're probably accustomed to seeing. That's because they have more white space than usual, for easier reading. If you prefer to edit with a pen or pencil on a hard copy, more white space also makes for easier markup, not to mention making it easier for your typist to read your handwriting.
Plain-language clauses: There's no law that says contracts have to be written in legalese. The clauses in Pactix starter forms are written (and formatted) to be easy to understand.
Alphabetical arrangement of clauses: The clauses in each Pactix starter document are arranged, not in narrative form, but alphabetically by topic. This arrangement makes it easier for your lawyer to plug in appropriate "Lego® block" clauses from the Pretty Good Contract Clauses compendium. To provide a high-level overview of the deal, your lawyer can easily add an introduction-and-overview section at the beginning (or in a letter agreement that incorporates the relevant Pactix starter form by reference).

A word of caution
A Pactix starter form might well be “good enough” for what you need; on the other hand, however, its clauses might not optimally protect your legal interests. So ASK YOUR LAWYER what's right for you.
